Why I Started Heart + Soul Tallow
The journey to Heart + Soul Tallow began long before 2023. It began the moment I became a mother. When I brought my firstborn home, I found myself holding him close, feeling an overwhelming desire to protect him in every way I could. I began thinking about all the things that touched his skin—his tiny hands, his soft cheeks. I realized that what I put on his skin had to be pure, safe, and nourishing, and that desire quickly extended to my own skin and my family's skin.
As I started reading labels and discovering just how many skincare products contained toxic ingredients, I knew I had to make a change—not just for my son, but for others too. After five years of researching, reading labels, adjusting to motherhood, and adding two more beautiful munchkins to the mix, this journey led me to create Heart + Soul Tallow, where every product is crafted with locally sourced, 100% grass-finished tallow, pure botanical oils, and simple, clean ingredients.
